Persephone Period CSA Toronto Drop Point - Nov. 25 - Dec. 30, 2024
Persephone Period CSA Toronto Drop Point - Nov. 25 - Dec. 30, 2024
CSA for weeks of Nov. 25 - Dec. 30, 2024: This is a one-time purchase for 6 weeks of our CSA.
The focus of our CSA Program is a home delivery of truly free-range ethical eggs (from hens with names) and fresh organic salad and cooking greens, harvested at the peak of freshness. Some of these greens are rare, and you won’t find them in the grocery store - we grow heirloom european varieties like agretti, minutina and claytonia, in addition to the tried and true favourites like kale, lettuce and spinach. This share will also incorporate some vacuum-packed & frozen goods made from our produce at the height of the season, shelf-stable canned preserves and root crops. We grow every single thing we sell, and we are happy to talk to you about our regenerative growing practices. Animal welfare, soil health and habitat preservation are our absolute top priorities.
CSA (GTA): Full dozen eggs share $288
- $8 per dozen eggs x 6 weeks = $48
- $40 of salads, canned goods, roots & cooking greens x 6 weeks = $240
CSA (GTA): Half dozen eggs share $270
- $5 per half dozen eggs x 6 weeks = $30
- $40 of salads, canned goods, roots & cooking greens x 6 weeks = $240
CSA (GTA): no eggs share $240
- $40 of salads, canned goods, roots & cooking greens x 6 weeks = $240
If you are interested in a farm pick-up, please email us at smallspadegardening@gmail.com and we will make arrangements for you!
Delivery day will be Monday, we will be at three appointed drop points throughout the city (TBD based on signups) at set times.
NB: Crop planning for a CSA is a delicate and complex balance, and our vegetables are sown and grown to mature at an intended time - so we can harvest them at peak freshness for you, every single week. Because of this, we unfortunately cannot accommodate requests to pause, double up or refund your share if you will be away on vacation during one of the weeks of the CSA. The vegetables keep growing whether we are there to harvest them or not - this is also why we run our CSA session in shorter 6 to 8 week bursts, instead of the typical 5-6 month CSA commitment. This way, you can dip out if you need to for a session. If you will be away for more than a week, our suggestion is to allow us to donate your share to a shelter or local organization.
Our centralized pick-up spots (TBD - Danforth & Broadview, Christie Pits and Dundas & Keele areas) are across the city on Monday afternoons/evenings. If you live outside this area, please contact us before placing an order and we may be able to accommodate you.
Thanks for supporting your small, local and sustainable farm! We appreciate your business!
